How the pieces
fit together.

A plain-language guide to the Dawnspace platform, its services, the current Legacy database and the small systems that sit around the social experience.

01
Sunup

Community systems

The things that make the platform feel a little more like a world.

Dawnar is an internal currency, not real-world money. Users receive points through activity and contributions, and Dawnar can be exchanged for titles, plaques and custom fonts for a name.

The Government of Dawnspace is a user-elected government with a ceremonial President. The office is part of the community's own civic structure rather than a corporate management role.

Data continuity

Legacy is the current database.

Legacy uses data from the 2024 Dawnspace launch. It is the current database and the current place for the existing platform.

Next Gen has been cancelled. Documentation therefore describes Legacy as the present system rather than as an interim step toward a promised replacement.
