The word Legacy can sound like something has been put away. That is not what it means here. Legacy is the current Dawnspace database, carrying the 2024 launch forward as the foundation of the platform people can still use.
The name makes room for the history without pretending the history needs to disappear.
The planned Next Gen project has been cancelled. Dawnspace is not presenting Next Gen as an upcoming replacement, and Legacy is not a temporary holding page waiting for another system.
For now, this is the platform, the database and the record of the work that came before it.
