Dawnspace is a social platform built around people, conversation and the small things that make an online place feel lived in. The platform brings posts, shared files, realtime messages, short video, community spaces and a few stranger little ideas together under one roof.
Where things stand
Legacy is the current Dawnspace database, carrying data from the 2024 launch. The planned Next Gen project has been cancelled. The work now is about keeping the useful parts close and moving carefully.

Realtime, when it needs to be.
Sunup is Dawnspace's direct messaging service. Conversations happen in real time, without turning the rest of the platform into a chat window.
03 / FILE SHARING
Keep the files with the people.
Dawnspace supports file sharing alongside the social experience, so a document, image, recording or other upload can stay close to the conversation around it.
04 / SPOUT
Short video, the Dawnspace way.
Portrait videos uploaded to Dawnspace can be carried into Spout, turning those files into short-form posts made for quick viewing and discovery.

Marlow is Dawnspace's GPT-based AI model, available through the Legacy platform.

A little economy of its own.
Dawnar is Dawnspace's internal currency. Points come from activity and contributions, and Dawnar can be used for titles, plaques and custom fonts.

The Government of Dawnspace is user elected, with a President chosen by users to serve as its ceremonial leader.

A platform is also the people who decide what it becomes.
Dawnspace supports community life without trying to flatten every interest into the same feed. Groups, public discussion, private spaces and direct messages each have their own place.
Dawnspace also supports World Suicide Prevention Day. The commitment is simple: make room for care, awareness and conversations that deserve to be treated seriously.
The wider structure is kept deliberately small. The Dawnspace Development Commission leads ideas and software development, while the Presidency gives the community a ceremonial, user-elected office.
